BIC Festival collaborates with LG Uplus and NBP for a refined online exhibition

“BIC Festival 2020” will present a refined exhibition form in line with the new normal with NAVER Cloud Platform

--Busan, Korea -- September 10, 2020 - Busan Metropolitan City (Acting Mayor Sung-Wan Byeon), Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (President & CEO In-Sook Lee), and Busan Indie Connect Festival Organizing Committee (Executive Chairman Tae-Geon Seo) have announced that the BIC (Busan Indie Connect) Festival 2020-Untact (zero contact) Live will utilize the NAVER Cloud Platform service.

NAVER Cloud Platform is the biggest Korean Cloud service provided by NBP (NAVER Business Platform), which has experience operating over 600 NAVER services. Since NBP runs the largest IT service in Korea, the platform has a stable infrastructure and world-proven security technology.

The company has established global regions and networks with a dedicated line for securing the most optimum speed. Through cooperation with major telecommunication service providers, NBP can provide fast and stable service for huge amounts of data.

Since the BIC Festival 2020 will be hosted online, the BIC Festival Organizing Committee has worked to establish an environment where game titles can be properly experienced from all parts of the world. In order to accomplish this, the committee has introduced NBP’s NAVER Cloud Platform. NBP has proven its technical prowess and service experience though its handling of NAVER, which has become Korea's biggest portal site and the LINE Messenger application, which has reached 190 countries around the world.

The organization held “BIC MAKE PLAY JAM_3rd Adventure” in August, where it showed the great potential of exhibiting and communicating online. Through experience and knowledge from this past event, the committee intends to design a new paradigm for online exhibiting during this new normal at the BIC Festival 2020. For the event, the BIC committee is cooperating with LG Uplus, which services the Cloud gaming service “GeForce Now” in Korea.

The BIC Festival 2020 will be held online from Oct 19th - Oct 25th; detailed information such as exhibiting titles, tickets and additional events will be released at a later date.
